Day 14 of Project 365

I've gotten a lot of questions about what kind of camera I use, so I thought it might be appropriate to honor the camera as my picture of the day! However, it's hard to take a picture of your camera! Fortunately, Rob still has his old Olympus so I used that bad boy to photograph my pride and joy, the Nikon D80. Rob got the D80 for me as a birthday gift last year for the big 30, and let me tell you, it has probably been the most used gift I've ever received. I absolutely love this camera, but what has really made all the difference in taking great pictures, especially portrait shots, is the Nikkor 50mm f1.4 lens. The lens takes some getting use to since it's a fixed length lens, so instead of just being able to zoom in and out with a button, you actually have to position yourself close to or far away from your subject, depending on your desired results. However, the low f-stop capability allows you to take pictures in low light with out the use of a flash or tri-pod, which I love! So there you have it... that's what's in my camera bag. What's in yours?
