Day 89 of Project 365

My co-worker Wendy finally agreed to be my picture of the day! She is one of the main reasons that I enjoy going to work! Her office is right across the hall from me so she is always there to help me if I have a question or listen to me vent about a complicated tax return. She brought me these beautiful flowers today and has supplied me with an afternoon pick-me-up of diet Dr. Pepper on multiple occasions. She is a wonderful wife and mom and I love hearing her call her kids regularly (probably more than our boss likes, but oh well!). Her family is definitely her first priority, as it should be, and I consider it a blessing to know her! Thanks Wendy for letting me take your picture and write about you on my little blog! Only 16 days of tax season left!

Day 88 of Project 365

Confession: I did not take a single photo today. It was bound to happen! Fortunately Kristen's babysitter took this adorable photo of Jenica and her friends on their field trip to the Children's Museum, and I had been wanting to put a picture in my album of her and her friends anyway, so this seemed like the perfect opportunity.

Day 87 of Project 365

Today I took senior pictures for the first time. Fortunately my subject was very photogenic and the weather cooperated for the most part. It was a lot of fun and I think we got some really great shots. Here is my picture of the day:

And a collage of some of my favorites of him and his girlfriend:

Day 80 of Project 365

My day started with a early morning run... and I do mean early! It was still dark out! It was actually really fun though. We were out running as it started to get light and the birds started chirping, and the best part was that I had my exercise out of the way before the husband and kiddo even rolled out of bed. Today finished out week 1 on my training schedule for the Rock n' Roll half marathon in Seattle this June, so this morning's 3 mile run was nothing compared to the 8, 9 and 10 milers I'll be doing in a couple months. The rest of my Sunday has been incredibly relaxing! Thank you Jesus for a day of rest!

Day 79 of Project 365

I worked all day Saturday so this picture is courtesy of Rob. He and Jena spent the day together which included a fun trip to the swimming pool and he even had time to make hamburgers for lunch and chili for dinner. Way to go babe! And thanks for the cute picture. I love the expression on her face and the little drop of drool on her chin!

Day 78 of Project 365

The last day of winter, although you sure couldn't tell by the weather! Jenica's babysitter is on vacation for a week so she and I got to spend the day together today. First she went to work with me at Rob's office, then home for a nap, then it was time to get out and enjoy the sunshine. Brandi and I already had plans to take Judica to Munoz bakery for an afternoon treat, and I invited Emelye to come along with us. Then Jessica text me to see if I wanted to go for a walk so I invited her to join us too! We had a blast, got some great exercise, enjoyed delicious treats and let the kids stop for some play time at the park. Thanks for a fun afternoon ladies, and for being part of my picture of the day! You can use it too if you want, Emelye!

Day 77 of Project 365

Smoothies... one of my favorite breakfasts, lunches, desserts, or just a great snack after a good work out. My favorite ingredients are frozen fruit (I buy the Costco sizes so I always have it on hand), flavored Isopure protein powder, and some ground flax or flax oil, mainly because that's the only way I get that good stuff into my diet. I've even started putting in lemon flavored cod liver oil (I know, it sounds gross, but you can hardly tell it's in there) ever since a doctor told me it's a great addition to your diet to keep your body healthy especially when you are doing lots of physical activity (i.e. running). Oh, and sometimes I add some vanilla soy milk or fruit juice to get the consistency I like but more often I just add water. Mmmmm mmmm!

Day 75 of Project 365

Such good oral hygiene! She still only has 8 teeth but they're the cleanest 8 teeth you'll find on an 18 month old! Good job Jenica... and I couldn't write a tooth brushing post without a shout out to my dad for teaching me such good tooth brushing habits that I now get to pass on to the next generation. See Dad, all those nights of asking me if I remembered to brush my teeth before bed paid off. Now even your granddaughter thinks brushing is fun!

Day 74 of Project 365

The Traeger. Probably our most used wedding gift. Okay, DEFINITELY our most used wedding gift! We don't just cook on this thing when the weather is nice, we use it year round... but there's nothing like a nice day that brings out the urge to fire it up. Everything cooked on a Traeger just tastes better and the best part... you can't burn it if you leave it on too long! Thanks Rick and Bill for many a great meal!

Day 73 of Project 365

Rob got a much needed haircut today. I thought it would be fun to do a before and after picture, and Rob did a great job modeling for me. See how much happier he looks after! Ha ha! Actually, I told him to look sad in the first one and happy in the second since that's what it seems like most weight loss or exercise infomercials have their models do. Great job honey! Thanks for being such a great sport today!

Day 72 of Project 365

Rob's tomato seeds have sprouted! He's very excited and he doesn't even like tomato's :)

Day 71 of Project 365

This picture will make sense to you if you saw my facebook post this morning.

Day 70 of Project 365

Some of you saw this picture on facebook yesterday but it was just too cute not to use as my picture of the day... taken with the iPhone, so the quality isn't great but I really like the blurred effect. Happy Friday everyone!

Day 69 of Project 365

Last night was Bunco night, which means I ate entirely too much junk food... but I also won a $15.00 iTunes gift card and found out that my friend is having TWINS! So exciting!

Day 68 of Project 365

A little shopping at Kohl's was in order tonight before we hit the gym and check out our savings! Oh, and this picture was taken with my new lens that arrived in the mail today, the Nikkor 35mm f1.8. Already loving it!

Day 67 of Project 365

Any guesses why Rob looks so happy in this picture?

Day 65 of Project 365

What a fun day! So hard to pick a picture... or even a collage worth! The weather was beautiful AND I had the day off from work. We took a fun trip up to the mountain for some snowshoeing, worked in the yard and then went to the Country Christian auction where we bought all kinds of fun stuff! You can see more pictures of our outing on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=158647&id=516020965&l=5ffa4787a0.

Day 64 of Project 365

Today I got to spend the morning photographing more cute kids. This time it was Malachi and his big sister Chase. It was so hard for me to pick a picture of the day but I think this one of Malachi is my favorite.

But I just can't resist posting one of adorable Chase as well... 3 years old already! This is who Jenica gets most of her cute hand me downs from. Thanks Syphard family! It was a pleasure :)

Day 63 of Project 365

Jenica seems to be feeling MUCH better. She slept all the way through the night and didn't cry nearly as much today. Here she is having some fun with daddy building towers of blocks. Rob took the picture with his phone and I just loved the perspective he captured.

Day 62 of Project 365

I've set my hair in curlers a couple times lately to save some extra time getting ready in the morning. I can shower at night and wrap them while I watch tv, then in the morning... voila, a pretty hairdo with out much effort. At least that's how it is meant to work out. However, the other day I think it was a combination of wrapping the curlers too tight and having my hair be still a bit too damp when I did it, because this was the outcome in the morning:

I sent Rob this picture message, to which he replied, "Wow! What era is that hairstyle from? Is it in style again now?" Needless to say, that turned out to be a ponytail day. Hopefully today's outcome will be better :)

And Wendy, this post is for you!

Day 61 of Project 365

We've been seeing this sad face far to often from our little Jena lately. She got a molar on Thursday so we're hoping the unhappiness is just due to teething and will soon pass. Poor girl!

Day 60 of Project 365

Emelye and I still looking happy before the disappointing end to this seasons Bachelor.
