Day 283 - 290 of Project 365 - Playing Catch-up

I have had such an overwhelming response to my fall portrait special that I've had a hard time keeping up on my picture of the day blog. Don't get me wrong, I'm still taking pictures, I'm just so busy editing them for clients that I haven't had time to update this site in over a week. So although I would love to write something fun and witty about each days photograph, I realize that is just not going to happen. So here they are:

Day 282 of Project 265

It rained all morning Saturday but Kyle and his mom were really good sports about it and we got some great pictures despite the weather! Thanks guys!

Day 280 of Project 365

My new lens! I'm very excited! It's big and heavy and makes me feel like I'm a professional or something. Oh, and it will make my pictures better too! I can't wait to start using it!

Day 279 of Project 365

Jenica gets to have a playmate a couple days a week for the next few weeks. It was great fun having Emilie for the day. She and Jenica play really good together and I had fun dressing them in matching sweatshirts and taking them to the park!

Day 278 of Project 365

The highlight of my day.... having my teeth cleaned. Exciting, I know! Actually it was kind of fun because I got to go to my dentists pretty new office in Molalla. If you are in need of a dentist, let me just put in my little plug for Fountain Valley Dental. They are great!

Day 277 of Project 365

I took so many pictures yesterday that I completely forgot to take any today! Oh well, it was a pretty boring day anyway (well, there was some minor excitement, but due to legal reasons, I probably shouldn't discuss it on the blog. I'm sure that will keep some of you guessing and may even inspire a phone call or two!)

Anyway, back to my picture of the day that wasn't actually taken today but I just loved it so much that I was happy to have it make a cameo appearance as today's picture of the day. This is my friend Brandi's great Aunt Jinnie (well, technically I think it's her husbands great aunt...) Family pictures for the Johnson family were just 1 of 4 photo shoots today and this picture was by far my favorite. Thanks for letting me capture the essence of this wonderful woman, and thanks to everyone who made yesterday my busiest day yet as a "photographer".

I feel truly blessed by all the interest that my "fall special" has brought my way and am excited for all the photo shoots I still have lined up in October. There's still time to get in on the deal. Check out my facebook page for Be Photography if you would like more information.

Day 276 of Project 365

Fall just wouldn't be complete with out a trip to the pumpkin patch! Way to color coordinate for the outing honey :)

Day 275 of Project 365

You made my Project 365 yet again, Sarah. Thank you for allowing me to take pictures of your lovely family! This one was one of my favorites so I hope you don't mind if I use it in my photobook :) Can't wait to do newborn pictures of little baby Shay!

Day 274 of Project 365

This beautiful young lady came to my studio yesterday with her little brother and sister to have some pictures taken. She was an excellent model for me, helping me get the lighting just right before attempting pictures of the littler ones who moved much quicker and didn't take direction nearly as well!

Speaking of the studio, my handy husband is up there as I type this making some great improvements! I think I'll go check on his progress.

Day 273 of Project 365

Day 272 of Project 365

I figured yesterdays Oreo cookie snack should be followed up by something a bit more nutritious. So here is today's snack - baby carrots. Yum! (Okay, not nearly in the same league as Oreo filling, but much better for my waste line!)

Note (12/23/10): I was just going through my Project 365 pictures and had totally forgot about this one. This was the day we found out we were pregnant, but since we weren't going to announce it until we were through the first trimester, I couldn't exactly post a picture of the positive pregnancy test or anything. So... baby carrots seemed like the next best thing. ha ha! It served it's purpose at least. When I saw the picture it reminded me that this was the day we found out :)

Day 271 of Project 365

I let Jenica have a treat at snack time today. Oreo cookies and milk. I was in the living room, not paying a lot of attention to her in her chair and when I looked over, this is what I found. She had meticulously licked the filling out of each and every Oreo and stacked what was left in a neat little pile. This was especially funny to me because this is exactly what I do with Oreos! After all, the filling is the best part so I don't want to waste extra calories on the cookie part when I could have more filling! So Rob gets the left over filling less cookies, mostly because he doesn't like to see food go to waste. Well honey, it looks like you have a lot more empty Oreos on your horizon!
